7×5″ – Acrylic on linen panel

There is a pomegranate tree that is located at Corn Creek Station, which is located in the Desert National Wildlife Refuge, just northwest of Las Vegas. I like to go out there to do a little birding once in a while and I always try to get some photos of this tree in whatever season it happens to be. This was just two or three months ago and the fruit was just getting its start. There were plenty of flowers still on the tree that had not started becoming fruit yet.
