Day 25 of 30 in 30 Challenge – Apple and Pear

Well, I did this painting using the water soluble oil paints and I’m still not impressed. I used a mix of safflower oil and drying medium for my medium. It still doesn’t give me the feel that I want when applying brush to canvas, or in this case, gessobord. I know I’ve read some testimonials about these paints that say they feel just like regular oil paints, but not to me they don’t. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I don’t know when I’ll pull them out again to try.

  1. I agree with you Dave. I've tried the water soluble paints, but didn't like the feel of them. Maybe some brands are better than others, but they're not for me. Your apple and pear look beautiful in this frame!
