As Honey Bunny and I were walking around a lake in a new park the other day, I noticed some freshly planted trees that will grow to become nice shade trees. But the thought occurred to me, why don’t they plant fruit trees instead of some useless ornamental? They keep telling us we should eat more natural foods like fruits and vegetables, so why not plant some fruit trees in these public parks? Then, as people like us are walking around the lake, getting some exercise, we can pick an apple or a peach or a plum for a healthy snack. It’s just a thought.
