12×9″ – White charcoal on toned paper

Was sorting through unused art materials again and came across a pad of Strathmore Artagain drawing pad that I bought sometime in the past and I don’t think I’ve ever even used it. So today was the day. I pulled out a couple of white charcoal pencils and went to town and I am generally quite pleased with the results.

What I found to be very interesting is what happened after I took the photo of the drawing, put it in my computer and in my graphics program I switched it to a negative image. Just to see what it would look like. It was amazing. It looked like I had drawn the picture with black graphite on white paper.
