Every time I pull out the watercolors I remind myself why it is that I don’t paint in watercolors. I always convince myself that TODAY it will be different. And every day I try it, I get to see that yes, once again I’ve deluded myself. There may be a secret to watercolors, but I am quite certain that I don’t know what that secret is. If someone were to say, “take these watercolors and this paper and put one stroke of blue across the top of the paper,” I’m pretty sure I could muck it up somehow. [SIGH – just like Charlie Brown]
