I know it’s been a long dreary winter for some in the east and southeast of the country, so I decided to memorialize it in a painting. This little cardinal is wondering where his life went wrong that he doesn’t migrate south during the winter. So, if you happen to see a lonely feller like this in your yard, take pity and put out a plate of nuts for him. He’ll love you for it.
