Here is the last freehand figure study I am going to do for a little while. This was another work that was mostly experimenting with mediums and it just didn’t work the way I thought it would. One thing I did learn though is, don’t touch the paper with your fingers when working with charcoal (and I assume pastels, too). The places you touch the paper, like the lower left hand corner of the paper, will be a mess with the charcoal because of the oils on your hands. Once that happens, there is no fixing it.
Now, on to the Bargue studies for a little while.
