Another practice piece that shows that I need a LOT more practice. I have the hardest time getting the two halves of items like this to look symmetrical. It doesn’t matter is it’s a coffee cup, a wine bottle or a flower vase. They always seem to come out looking like an accident from the kiln. Maybe I’ll spend the rest of Leslie Saeta’s 30-Paintings-in-30-Days challenge doing mostly still lifes with these kinds of objects.
